Dick Schilffarth was one of the smartest, kindest, brilliant people on the face of the earth. His dedication to his family (Marlene & children), his community, the State of WI (Venture Capital) were extraordinary. He was my mentor for a decade from the time I stepped into the Governor's Cabinet in 2003, he helped me champion the creation of the Wisconsin Angel Network (Now the Tech Council's Investment Network) which was a tremendous economic engine to help grow Wisconsin's economy. His love of Marlene was exceptional - the holiday card (news publication) of their life together was amazing and I will keep it in my possession forever. A life well lived by a well loved businessman, mentor and investor. With highest regards, Lorrie Keating Heinemann, CCM, MBA, currently President & CEO of Madison Development Corporation, Madison WI, BECAUSE of Richard A Schilffarth.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Wonderful memories of drinking wine in his office at the end of the work day. Prayers for your family. What a full life!
