Richard P. Busillo

Richard was born on October 24, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to Eugene and Martha (Davis) Busillo. He joined the Army in 1966 and proudly served during the Vietnam War. Captain Rich, as he was affectionately known, had a successful career in manufacturing before serving as a tow boat captain on the Delaware River before officially retiring in 2017. He loved boating and spending time with his family and friends. He loved playing with his grandchildren and his dog Rosie. He was known for his smile, his laugh and his loving nature. Preceded in death by his father Eugene, mother Martha, and his sister Martha Bicksler (Kenneth), he is survived by his wife Maureen, daughter Caitlin (Timothy), his grandchildren Timothy and Anna Mae, an uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a loving extended family. The service will be held promptly 9:00 AM on Friday, August 5th 2022 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Please plan to arrive by 8:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local SPCA or Veterans' Associations would be appreciated.
