Robert J. Gorfi

Robert J. Gorfi Sr., age 61, of Sebring, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday June 15, 2007, at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1945 in Alliance, Ohio to Frank and Rachel Lucretia Shaw Gorfi and was a lifelong resident. Robert graduated from Alliance High School and was employed as an Orderly at Alliance Community Hospital. He was a member of the Alliance Police Reserves for 17 years and served as a Sg1 with the U. S. Air Force for six years during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Debra M. (Good) Gorfi of Sebring; two sons, Robert J. (Pat) Gorfi Jr. of Alliance, and Andrew A. Gorfi of Apple Creek; one daughter, Buffy S. (Kevin) Kent of Wooster; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank W. Gorfi. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel at Highland Memorial Park with Pastor James White of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
