Robert J. Homkey

Robert was born on January 14, 1929 and passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Robert was a resident of Glens Falls, New York at the time of his passing. He attended Saratoga Springs High School and graduated in 1946. After high school he attended Middlebury College on a basketball scholarship and later graduated from State University of New York at Cobleskill in May 1950. He enlisted in the US Air Force on September 13 1950 serving the US overseas. He served as an aerial gunner on B26 B29 airplanes and received an honorable discharge on August 14 1954. He was married to Sally. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am on April 23 2016 at St. Maryâs Church Warren Street Glens Falls NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery Schuylerville NY. Calling hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday April 22 2016 at the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home 407 Bay Rd Queensbury NY.
