Robert Guzeman Obituary

Bob Guzeman, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday evening, June 25, 2010. Bob was born in Aurora, Illinois on November 15, 1936, son of the late Harry and Dorothy Koth Guzeman. He graduated from East Aurora High School and also attended Beloit College and Northern Illinois University. All through his younger years, he was quite the athlete, and excelled at football, track, and baseball. Later in life, he picked up on golf, and enjoyed playing for many years. On June 16, 1956, Bob married the former Barbara Obed in Naperville, Illinois; she survives. Over the years, Bob held several jobs, mostly in the sales field. He was always eager to learn, and had taken several classes over the years to further himself. Bob was a man of deep faith – his Bible is filled with notes and thoughts he penciled in over the years. He was a former Sunday School Teacher, as well as a Deacon at the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years: Barbara Guzeman of Little Chute; five children: Robert Guzeman of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; John Guzeman of Aurora, Illinois and his special friend Angie Miley; Steven Lorrie Guzeman of Tucson, Arizona; Tina Roy Ramsey of Appleton; and Jennifer Guzeman of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and her fiancé Bill McKnight. There are nine grandchildren: Jasmine, Autumn, Maggie, Christopher, Kaine, Journey, Jacob, Dustin, and Michael; four great-grandchildren: Caleb, Arian, Mariah, and Billy; a sister-in-law: Marie Jim Brown of Mars Hill, North Carolina; and two brothers-in-law: John Janice Obed of Monroe, Louisiana and Harold Neuenkirchen of North Carolina. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Shirley Kott, a sister-in-law Betty Neuenkirchen, and a brother-in-law Frank Sandy Obed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 2, 2010 at the funeral home chapel in Kimberly with Rev. Richard Schaefer of Appleton Alliance Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning after 10:00 AM. Jansen Fargo Funeral Home 204 E.
