Mr. Robert Raymond Andolsen

Robert Raymond Andolsen, 77 of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Avon Lake passed away, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, November 3, 2017 in Parkersburg, WV. Robert was born January 14, 1940 in Cleveland. He attended Brunnerdale Minor Seminary, Missionaries of the Precious Blood, Canton and graduated from St. Edward High School, Lakewood in 1958. He was a 1962 graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology. At John Carroll he was a member of the United States Army ROTC program and an officer of the National Society of Scabbard and Blade. Robert had a career with the Cuyahoga County Welfare Department as an Associate Director. After retirement he earned a Law Degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and began a second career entering into private law practice and as the prosecuting attorney for the city of North Ridgeville. Robert was most proud of being admitted to practice before of the United States Supreme Court. Robert was the president of the Hyannis Port Circle Condo Association, a member of St. Joseph Church and the Lorain County Bar Association. Robert also represented the class of '62 as he wrote for the John Carroll University Alumni Magazine. He was an accomplished photographer, rode motorcycles and was a ham radio operator. Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jean Dye Andolsen, whom he married, June 11, 1983. Other survivors include children Robert J. Andolsen (Karen) of Avon Lake; Daniel R. Andolsen (Diane) of Clayton, NC; Mary Elizabeth Clark of Graceland, Queensland, Australia; Laurel A. Anderson (Aaron) of Lovell, ME and step-son Jonathan Snyder (Kate Faber) of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Samantha, Zachary, Joseph and Daniel Andolsen; James, Angus and Lachlan Clark and Lilli Anna, Patrick, Grace and Charles Anderson. His first great grandchild is expected in January. In addition, he is survived by brothers Dr. Richard J. Andolsen (Julia) of Healdsburg, CA and Ronald T. Andolsen (Olga-dec.) of Avon Lake. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Joseph R. (1992) and Anna R. (nee Mezie) (1998) Andolsen. A prayer service will be at the funeral home, Monday at 10:15am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 32946 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake at 11:00am. Fr.
