Ronald Andrew Krizner, husband, father and grandfather, 87, entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2022. Born on September 7, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa., Ron moved to Cleveland with his family during World War II. The family first lived in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Cleveland and in 1951 moved to Maple Heights. He is a 1952 graduate of Holy Name High School. In 1954, Ron joined the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In 1955, his unit was transferred to Japan where he spent one year. As a member of the Airborne Division, Ron made about 20 parachute jumps. After serving in the Army and Army Reserves, Ron was honorably discharged in December 1963. Following his stint in the Army, Ron attended Kent State University for two years, then transferred to Dyke College, where he graduated in 1960. For the next 40 years, Ron worked as a tax accountant, most notably for Addressograph-Multigraph and Noranda Aluminum. But before working for those companies, Ron's first job was at a company called Luria Brothers. It was here, in 1960, that Ron met Mary Lou Bongirolami. Their first date was an Indians-Yankees doubleheader. The rest, as they say, is history. Mary Lou became the love of Ron's life. He proposed to her at Christmastime 1960, and they were married on August 5, 1961. Soon, Ron and Mary Lou committed themselves to raising their three children, Ken, Karen and Paul. Their 61 years of marriage is a true Love Story. Ron and Mary Lou moved from Cleveland to Wickliffe in October 1962. After 27 years in Wickliffe, they moved to Brentwood, Tenn., in 1989. In 2009, they returned to Northeast Ohio and settled in Willoughby. An ardent fan of the Indians/Guardians, Cavaliers and Browns, Ron was also an athlete himself, playing baseball in his youth, softball in the Addressograph-Multigraph company league and in a Tuesday night bowling league at Palisades Lanes in Euclid. He was also a coach in the Wickliffe Baseball League in the 1970s, eventually becoming President of the organization. Ron was the personification of the Family Man. Not only was he committed to his own family, but he was also ready to lend a helping hand to any member of our extended family who needed help on home or other projects. That helping hand extended to the neighborhood, too. Ron is survived by his wife Mary Lou; son Ken (Tricia); daughter Karen Young (Michael); son Paul (Charlene); grandchildren Jason Young, Steven Young, Alexis Krizner, Emily Krizner and Evan Krizner; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Marianne Krizner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary; two brothers, Bob and Jim; and Jim's wife Sharon. Friends may call at The Fioritto Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst (East of Richmond Road) from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Family and friends will meet for a Mass on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 29840 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital in care of ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

My deepest sympathy, Mary Lou, to you and your family. Ross and I enjoyed being with you and Ron for all of the many, many years of our friendship. As a newcomer to your group (only 58 years) I always looked forward to seeing you and laughing away our time together.
