I can't believe that is a year already. It seems like yesterday that I would call and talk with her. I know that she is at peace with her loving husband Uncle Joe. I miss her so.

Rose enjoyed a good long life. So many cannot say the same. She was especially strong.

So sorry to hear about Rose. Take comfort in knowing that those who have died, to God are as good as alive. A good name is better than good oil and the day of death is better than the day of birth. Eccl. 7:1

Rose was one of the sweetest mothers I have ever known. I will never forget her happiness and her love of everyone who came into her life. She treated me like one of her family from the first moment I walked into her home in Andrews as a displaced New England teenager, feeling totally out of my element. The El-Khouri family is one of the bedrocks of my life. I will miss Rose and Joe, but I will forever be grateful to the two of them for creating the best family in western North Carolina.

To my cousins. My deepest condolences to all of you. You have been such a close family as far back as I can remember and that closest and the love for each other will get you through this difficult time. We become selfish and wart them around forever. She was a wonderful Godmother to me and I am very fortunate that I had her for as long as I did. I'll miss not only her notable laugh, but I'll miss the cards and notes she sent me with all those beautiful stickers she would put on the envelopes! You have so many wonderful memories and I know those memories will also get you through this. My prayers are with all of you. My heart is saddened but she is now with Uncle Joe, her parents, siblings and all of her heavenly family. Love you all. Noreen
