I just learned of Mrs. Ramayya's passing this morning. She was my World History teacher in 6th grade at Ft. Clarke in 1992-93. She was a great teacher, and funny! She will be missed!

I just today learned of Sarla's passing and am deeply saddened. We taught together at Ft. Clarke Middle School in the 1970's and 80's and she was the consummate professional, respected (and loved) by many students, parents and other teachers. In 1977 some teachers from Alachua county went to India for the summer and met up with Sarla and her family at the Taj Mahal. She was a very good person. My condolences to her family and those who loved her.

I really enjoyed getting to know Mrs. Ramaya. I met her when I worked at Garden Gate Nursery. One year she asked if I would be interested in planting her annual flowers twice yearly and have been doing it ever since. Unfortunately she never got the chance to see the he last planting's of this years winter annuals, but I know she is smiling happily looking at them from above now. She was a very sweet woman to me and my family, may she Rest In Peace, and my thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I have been visiting our Sarla aunt in Gainesville for many years every time when I came to Florida. Two weeks ago, I called Sarala aunt and informed her that we would be visiting her during Christmas time and she was so delighted. Aunt, we will miss you and remember you forever. Our deepest condolences to Harsha, Deepti and grand children.

Will miss you Mrs. Ramayya. After so many years you would still remember your students and be proud of their accomplishments. The community will miss your years of service as a teacher. May your soul be at peace.

I will always remember her strength yet gentle way she demanded hard work and expected "your" best effort from all she met. Thank you for setting a wonderful example for so many.

In the words of William Shakespeare, "Though she may be little, she is fierce"
A quote that often brings Mrs Ramayya to mind because she was fierce!
I am grateful I got to have her as a substitute teacher many, many times in my life. I think back of those memories fondly.
May she rest in peace and may her family find peace during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Sarla Aunty's demise. Please accept our condolences. It's hard to lose a parent, no matter what age they or you are at. I hope you can find solace in the fact that she lived a great life, loved and made people happy, and died amongst family, in peace. She is definitely in a better place and will be happy to see you all move on in life.
Sunny, Avantika and Harsh join me in paying respect and condolences and much as we never met her, she was an important part of our lives via dad. We heard fun stories and got updates all along. God bless her soul.
Love and Light
