Sharon M. Rozewski was a Northern California native. She was born on December 29, 1948 in Oakland, CA., and passed away on December 24, 2021 in Hayward, CA. Sharon leaves behind her beloved husband of 38 years Anthony, (Tony), and her mother Alice Soto-Steele as well as a brother-in-law, sister-in-law and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharon enjoyed her high school years at Oceana High School in Pacifica, CA. A graduate of the class of 1967, she attended many class reunions and continued to stay in contact with her classmates through e-mail and Facebook. Sharon spent over 37 years working as a Bookbinder where she spent most of those years at Spiral Binding and Kohnke Printing, and five years at the New Haven Unified School District at James Logan High School where she worked in food service. Sharon also had her own business, Creations by Sharon, where she specialized in balloon décor for special events. Sharon enjoyed the sport of bowling. Bowling in an all-ladies league at the Castro Village Bowl on Wednesday mornings with the WHY League, Thursday afternoons with the Besaro mixed league at the Cloverleaf Family Bowl, and the yearly tournament in Carson City, NV., the SP Tournament (formerly the Southern Pacific Railroad Tournament). Sharon also bowled at the WIBC Women's Championships in Orlando, FL., where she picked up the "Big 4" (4-6-7-10) and was awarded two airline tickets to fly anywhere in the continental U.S. Sharon was a San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan who loved her teams and supported them faithfully. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, making ceramic art and loved the music of Elvis Presley. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, 2/10/2022 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1 Notre Dame Ave., San Mateo, CA. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, San Mateo, CA.
