Sherry Laverne Hale Zagwyn, 76, of Hampton, GA, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at her home. A native of Charlotte, NC, Sherry lived most of her life in Spartanburg County and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was the daughter of the late Dargan and Viola Hale and was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Waldrop and Carolyn Hostettler. Surviving are her husband, Robert Zagwyn of Hampton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Terry Mace of Vernal, UT, Donna and Alan Pangle of Hampton, GA, Robyn and Sam Ledford of Signal Mountain, TN, and Traci and Jack Perry of Dalton, GA; son, David Cartee of Atlanta, GA; brother, Douglas Hale of Cowpens, SC; sisters, Beth Flynn of Cary, NC, and Cynthia Blanton of Chesnee, SC; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 6, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice Services, 827 Fairways Court, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
