To Steve's family- It is difficult for me to say how saddened all of us St. Anthony's classmates are about the passing of our dear friend. His grandparents were long-standing friends of my family and the San Antonio/St. Joe/Dade City communities. Steve came into our lives and we were all better for knowing him and having him as a friend and classmate. There were so many adventures Steve and I had that it would be impossible to state them all here. He was much loved! He was strong of character and only he could have endured the medical procedures that he had to go through for so many years. At no time in our lives as children was he ever down in spirit, and from I hear he stayed that way in later years. Our last conversation only hours before he died showed that same upbeat attitude. God Bless you my old friend, God speed, and save a place for me!!
