Terry Joseph Zaffuto, Sr. Terry Zaffuto Sr. peacefully went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He retired as a Lieutenant from Hammond Police Department after a long and dedicated service to his community. Terry was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Through his training he was a proficient marksman and sharpshooter, where he found his passion to teach the importance of gun safety in a professional and personal setting. Terry was known for his pranks, jokes and crazy sense of humor, but also for his memorable laugh and the way his smile could light up a room. His other passion in life was cooking, baking, grilling, with some of his favorites being his famous cheesecakes, crawfish fettuccine, baked beans or BBQ ribs. Terry's biggest accomplishments will always be his family, spending time with them made his world worth living. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, thoughtful brother and friend to all who knew him. Terry leaves behind his adoring wife of 36 years, Susan Bethel Zaffuto; sons, Terry Zaffuto Jr and wife Leona, Jason Zaffuto and wife Mia, Chase Zaffuto and wife Lanna; grandchildren, Caegan, Cassidy, Cam, Andrew, Joseph and Lilly; as well as his sister, Linda Kelly; and a niece, Stacey Kelly McGraw. Preceding him in death is his mother, Pam Graves; step father, Elvin Graves; father, Angelo Zaffuto; brother, Sidney Zaffuto; brother-in-law, Ken Kelly Sr.; and his nephew, Ken Kelly Jr. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, in Hammond, on Friday February 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Bro. Jeff Robinson will officiate the services with interment to follow in Lanier Family Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Passages Hospice for their wonderful service and professionalism during their time of need as well a special thanks to Barry Bankston for his care and compassion he shown the family and Mr. Terry.

Susan & family,
Terry was a great man. I had been praying for him & you & the boys families and will continue to have you all in my prayers. He had a wonderful personality & great smile! Heaven is richer with him there. He surely will be missed!
I like to share a beautiful verse from the Lord's Bible Matthew 5:4 as Jesus Christ spoke to the multitudes at the sermon on the mount.
Blessed are those that morn, for they shall be comforted. Amen May God grant you peace, comfort and his amazing grace!
Love you all,

Gordon Anderson

John 16:22
Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. Prayers for you and your family. May God bless you and keep you. Weeping may endure for a nght but Joy cometh in the morning.
