Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Thomas Harry Newhams, 71, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on April 23rd, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 9, 1939 to the late Trevor Charles and Frances Brown Newhams, he was a 10 year resident of Chesapeake and, formerly, a resident of Edenton, NC and Norwalk, CT. Tom spent his formative years in Pittsburgh, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Duquesne University. Tom was also the Founder and President of his own marine business, ANA-Boat Doc. He was an avid boater who took great pride in his 34-foot Hatteras, Sum Fun. Tom is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Kevin and daughter Maggie of Chesapeake, VA; his son Jeffrey and his wife Kaisa of Cos Cob, CT; his son, Michael and his children, Kinsey and Ryan of Sarasota, FL; his brothers, Frank of Alleghenyville, PA and Beau of Pittsburgh, PA.
