William Gardner Yoensky, age 71, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born in Auburn, NY on November 13, 1948 to the late Charles and Florence (Gardner) Yoensky. William went to high school in Auburn, NY. During his younger days, he was a ham engineer operator and enjoyed building his own radios. William was a proud U.S. National Guard member, who served his country with great pride. He continued his education by getting a degree for Engineering. William went on to work for General Electric for over 35 years and retired in 2006. After retirement in October of 2006 he moved to China returning to the U.S. in September 2018. William will be missed by all who knew him. William is survived by his second wife, Jiang Zhongyun; sons: Michael J. Yoensky and John C. Yoensky; daughter, Elizabeth A. Yoensky; step-daughter, Du Jing Jinq; grandchildren: Daniel and Emma Jane Yoensky; sister, Jean A. Yoensky Walter; sister-in-law, Tammy Yoensky; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents William is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane M(Lavey) Yoensky; brother, Carl J. Yoensky; sister-in-law, Barbara Yoensky daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hurt Yoensky; aunt, Helen Yoensky Harris; uncle, Joseph Yoensky; and grandparents, John and Anna Komamitsky Yoensky. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
