MELINA ELAINE PUCKETT Einan's at Sunset Melina Elaine Puckett, age 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Melina was born on April 25, 1962 in Caldwell, Idaho, the second child born to Fred and Betty Moore. As a child, Melina spent a lot of time working in her family's businesses. She and her brother spent many years working in Moore's Grocery in Notus, Idaho, and at Northwestern Fireworks Company, in Payette, Idaho. Upon graduating high school, Melina attended the International Air and Hospitality Academy in Vancouver, Wash. She landed a job in Pasco in 1985 working for Western Airlines, where she met her husband Robert Puckett. Melina and Robert Puckett were married in 1987 and started a family shortly afterward. Melina stepped away from her job at the airlines to spend time with her children and run her own businesses. She built and ran Mor-Stor Mini Storages and Three Rivers RV Storage in Pasco, Wash. and continued to run her family's fireworks business in Payette, Idaho. When she was not working on her businesses, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren, taking afternoon drives with her husband, wine tasting with friends, traveling to visit friends and family, and volunteering with the St. Joseph's Yard Sale. Her family was the center of her world. She was an incredible mother to three children and recently became a grandmother to two adorable girls. Melina took great pride in caring for her loved ones, tending to her mother, great aunt and many more over the years. She is survived by her husband, Robert Puckett, of Pasco, Wash., her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Jessica Puckett, of Pasco, Wash., her son-in-law and daughter, Steven and Shayla Havenor, of Richland, Wash., and her son-in-law and daughter, Jacob and Mendy Sass, of Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ruby and Penelope Havenor of Richland, Wash. Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and Betty Moore, and her brother, Brent Moore. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13, and a memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Einan's at Sunset Event Center in Richland, Wash. Melina brought great joy to everyone in her path. For 5 years, I served Melina at her local Starbucks in Pasco, Wa. She came in at least once every day- sometime more than that- to get her drink and her daily dose of barista sass. We loved her. I loved her. Always will!
