DALE HOWARD HILL Dale Howard Hill, born 7/16/44 in Craigmont, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2017 in Fernley Nevada. His wife of 48 years, Evelyn, and daughter Shelby were at his side. For many years, Dale was a well known figure in the automotive industry both as an educator and car enthusiast. His skill and passion for rebuilding and restoring classic cars brought him years of great enjoyment. Going to car part swap meets, car shows, displaying his classic cars and winning awards were highlights of his life. He made lifelong friends with others who shared his passion. The family hopes to preserve his legacy with the completion of his final restoration project with the assistance of his friend John. After graduating from Craigmont High School, Dale attended Lewis and Clark College in Lewiston, Idaho where he continued his love affair with sports. Dale moved on to Central Washington State College and graduated with a degree in education. He began his teaching career in Benton City and then moved on to Richland High School from where he retired. Being a teacher/coach for 30 years allowed Dale and his family to enjoy countless trips to the Oregon Coast during summer vacations. In addition to his loving wife and daughter, Dale is survived by numerous caring nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister in law. A celebration of life gathering is being planned for June.
