AMELIA SHIRLEY GRACE HARPSTER Heritage Funeral Home On Thursday, October 13th our precious little girl was called to her eternal home with Jesus. Amelia was born on April 11th at 11:53pm in Kennewick, WA at Trios Hospital. She endured a traumatic birth and literally fought to stay alive in the first few days of her life. She spent 11 days total in the NICU at Kadlec Hospital before we brought her home, much to the excitement of her older brothers. The next six months were the best six months of our life as we enjoyed having three children, all ages three and under, and the craziness that comes with it. Amelia was a busy little girl as we traveled back and forth to Spokane and Seattle for her many appointments with different specialists. She always enjoyed the car rides and hardly raised a fuss. Her brothers adored her more than anything else on this earth and every single morning they would give her kisses as she kicked her legs from excitement. Even as young as they are our boys loved laying next to her while they lovingly looked into her eyes. They will miss their little sister very much and we will miss our daughter more than words will ever be able to describe. Our only peace comes from knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that our precious girl is in Heaven with her eternal Father, and that she is now completely healed. We know that our time to join her will eventually come and in the meantime we will always remember her precious smile, her little kicks and the joy she brought us every day in the six months that God allowed us to have with her. We will forever be tied to Amelia Shirley Grace. Amelia has many relatives already in Heaven including her paternal great grandpa Walter Joe Sherwood, paternal great grandma Shirley Mielke, maternal great grandma Ria Besseling, great uncle Brian Beasley, great aunts Debbie Besseling and Melissa Besseling. Amelia also left behind many people who loved and adored her including her parents, Peter and Chanel Harpster, brothers, Beckham and Maverick, paternal grandparents, Jeff and Londa Harpster, maternal grandparents, Brad and Marian Plata and Kip Nelson, her aunts and uncles Danielle, Chris, Andrea, Josiah, James, Ada, David, Will, Tyler, Sabrina, Ricky, and Ave, her great-grandparents Neil and Bonnie Harpster, Dick Mielke, Dee Sherwood, Shirley Hansen, and John Besseling. We would like to specifically thank the many nurses and doctors at Kadlec Hospital who treated our daughter at different times including at birth in the NICU and near the end of her life in the ER. Every staff member at Kadlec that we encountered was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and sensitive to the situation, especially Mike and Dianne who were with us in the NICU at the very beginning. A memorial service to honor the life of Amelia will be held at Faith Assembly, 1800 N. Rd 72, Pasco, WA on Friday, October 21st at 11am in the main auditorium. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Tri-Cities Pregnancy Network or the Kadlec NICU.
