ANNA MAY WATKINS 1927-2017 Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Anna May Watkins, beloved sister, grandmother, auntie, cousin, and friend passed away after a lengthy battle with health issues on March 9, 2017. She was 89. Anna was born in Pasco, WA, August 26, 1927 to parents, Luke and Iva Galloway. Luke worked for Hanford and Iva was a cashier. They later owned the Golden Horseshoe on the Snake River at Burbank, WA. Anna married the love of her life, Harold K. Watkins, in 1946 (she called him Johnny). Together, they had three children, Steven, Randy, and Roxy. As a supervisor for GF Atkinson Co., contracts took Johnny out of the country. Anna said she did not marry to be separated, so she packed up all their belongings (and car), and flew with infant in arms and two small boys, headed to wherever he was, South America, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Alaska, The Philippines (and good ole USA, her words). She missed the friends they had met along the way. Anna May had a happy life. She attended high school in Richland. She enjoyed playing piano. She liked song birds and butterflies. Applets and Cotlets were her favorite sweets, along with root beer floats. Anna was preceded in death by parents, brother, Dick Galloway, husband, Johnny, and their three children, Steven, Randy, and Roxy; in-laws, A. B. and Alma Watkins; brother-in-law, Curley and Margie Watkins; nephew, Rick Watkins; her uncle, Ken Mahan; cousins, Elaine and Lawrence Hatfield, Glen Baker, and Victor Mahan. Survivors include her grandchildren, Sean and Rhicca Watkins and Koby and Jennifer Hardy; daughter-in-law Connie Watkins; nephews, Mike Clark, Tom Gray, Mike Watkins, Terry Watkins, Gary Vagnette; nieces, Mrs. Mike Watkins (Jane), Mrs. Terry Watkins (Tara), Cyndee Clark, Lynn Clark Vagnette, and Lu Clark. Many great nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild; sister, Louise and husband Ed Kathan; sister-in-law, Marge Galloway. We will miss you.
