AUDRA "MARCINE" FITHIAN Mueller's Chapel of the Falls Audra Marcine Gatrost was born in Persia, IA on Feb. 28, 1927, the third of Claude and Mildred Gatrost's seven children. She was a hard-working Iowa farm girl raised in Missouri Valley where at seventeen she earned her teaching certificate and rode her horse, Dan, to teach in a one-room school house. She married Lyle Fithian in 1951 and they settled in Kennewick, WA to raise their six children. Marcine was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kennewick where she ran the children's nursery for 32 years. She was well known for her spirit, strawberry jam and cooking food for the large family get-togethers she loved so much. Marcine loved to garden and was especially good as a rattlesnake wrangler; she enjoyed toll painting, puzzles with Dad, delivering goodies to all who knew her, and spending time with her family. Marcine went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19th. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, son Kyle Fithian, daughter Diana Wells, parents, five siblings, and granddaughter Marija Peck.
