BEULAH M. HEMMER Beulah M. Hemmer, 96, a resident of Burbank, WA., passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 29th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery in Colfax, WA. Beulah Mary Cram was the youngest of seven children born November 25, 1919 in Colfax to Clancey and Mary Kingsley Cram. She attended grade school in Central Ferry and graduated from the Hay High School. Because of the distance to her home; Beulah lived with her school teacher during her high school years. She did work around Hay for various farming families as well. Beulah married George Frank Hemmer in Spokane on December 22, 1938. They made their home in Lacrosse and later to Hooper where George worked for many years as the cattle foreman for McGregor Land & Livestock. Beulah worked at the Hooper Hotel and did laundry for many of the hired men in the area. They moved to the McGregor ranch in 1954 and Beulah cooked for the harvest crew . In 1964, George was instrumental in moving the feed lot to the Tri-Cities and he and Beulah moved to Burbank, WA., near there, in 1965. She worked at the meat locker and took care of their five acre patch. She also really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. They enjoyed spending summers at their cabin at Twin Lakes, WA. She was an avid seamstress and did lots of sewing and projects for her family. She is survived by two children, Lee and wife Karen Hemmer of Mansfield, WA. and Judy and her husband Tom Frase of Burbank; 5 grandchildren, Sharon Baasch, Karen Forsythe, Susan Turner, Jim Hemmer and Lennae Hemmer; and 9 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jared, Jeremy, Brandt, Jordan, Sarah, Thomas, Taylor and Trinton, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
