CLARINE D. LYSIAK October 15, 1920 April 30, 2017 Mom was born in Watford City, North Dakota, to Elmer and Mabel Remele. During her late teen years, she moved from North Dakota to Yakima, Washington, and lived with her aunt and uncle. She attended what was known as Yakima Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1941. At her 20th birthday party, she met the love of her life, Alex Lysiak, and they were married in May of 1942. They moved to Walla Walla for Alex's job, where he met Leo Horrigan and the next chapter of their lives was started. They moved to a "homestead" house on Horse Heaven south of Prosser where they farmed until 1970 when they retired. During their retirement, they were "snowbirds" to Mexico and Mesa, Arizona and finally built a home in Sunland Village where to spent the winters together until dad died in 2002. Mom continued to spend her winters in Arizona until the sale of the house in 2014. Mom enjoyed cooking and entertaining and especially playing bridge. She would host dinner parties and set up several tables to play bridge. During her game days, she achieved Ruby Life Master status (1500+ master points) and was 121.70 points short of reaching the next level (2500+ points). She traveled to South America and Hong Kong and enjoyed salmon fishing at Westport and Illwaco. She loved to play the organ and piano and did so until her hearing failed. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Lysiak, her son, Jere Lysiak, her mother and father, and her siblings: Lucille Putinski, Leonard Remele, Doris Fitzpatrick, and Eunice Gould.
