CARLTON "DAVE" DAVID LEE Einan's at Sunset Dave was born to parents, Brigadier General, Carlton Levi Lee and Sue Reed Rogers, on February 28, 1943 in Waco, Texas. They were a military family and moved several times to many places including, England, and as far away as Guam. Dave was a star player on his high school football and basketball teams. He had many friends and was elected president of his high school senior class. He was even voted most handsome during his senior year. He graduated in 1961 from Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Nebraska After high school he attended college at the University of Georgia and later transferred to the University of Michigan, where he met his wife to be, Judy. They married in 1967 in Horsecave, Kentucky. He began his career in the Army in 1967, stationed at Ft. Knox. He fought in the Vietnam War, spending a total of one a year in Vietnam. From 1975 to 1978, he was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii where he learned to enjoy scuba diving. Following his service in Hawaii, he did a short tour away from his family, serving in Korea for 1 1/2 years. Dave spent a total of 21 years in the Army, retiring in 1988 as a Lieutenant Colonel. After retiring from the Army, he went to work as a Project Manager for 20 years at PNNL in Richland. Throughout his life he was an avid reader of history, science fiction and fantasy books. He enjoyed shooting and target practice with his wife, Judy. He and Judy spent most vacations in Hawaii, where they visited all the islands but Molokai. They especially loved visiting the North Shore and watching the beautiful waves of Oahu. He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Judy; son, Alan Carlton Lee; and grandchildren: Madison, Morgan and Easton Praino; sisters: Lyndal Lee and Jane Lee of Atlanta, GA; sister, Nancy (Steve) Kronick of Cedarhurst, NY; and brother, John (Dianne) Lee of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Dave was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan; dad, Brigadier General, Carlton Levi Lee; and mother, Sue Reed Rogers, both of Atlanta, Georgia. A funeral service will be held at Events at Sunset on Friday, 1/27 at 1:00pm. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at Sunset Gardens.
