DEONNA CHRISTINE ERICKSON MCKEE Hillcrest Memorial Center Deonna Christine Erickson McKee, age 42, of Richland, WA, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Richland, WA on April 18, 2016. She was born August 5, 1973 in San Bernardino, CA to parents Christy Watts and John R. Erickson Jr. Deonna was married to Jeremy McKee on November 16, 2013. She has lived in the Tri-Cities for 23 years. Deonna worked as a Dance and Cheerleading Instructor at Dance Connection in Kennewick. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an honorary member of Phi Theta Kappa at Columbia Basin College and would have graduated with honors from CBC in June 2016; she was accepted at WSU TC for the fall semester of 2016. She enjoyed dance, gymnastics, crocheting, arts and crafts, reading, her niece Stella, coaching and teaching her students. Deonna loved children of all ages. The person she loved most in the entire world was her son Logan. Deonna grew up in Ocean Beach, a small community in San Diego. She attended the high school of Creative & Performing Arts and was a Bob Hope dancer appearing with him in several San Diego performances. In 1994 she was a cheerleader for the Tri-Cities Chinook basketball team. Deonna is survived by her son Logan Butler; husband Jeremy McKee; mother Christy Watts; father Brad Watts; sister Jillian Erickson and niece Stella Kelsh; brother Dustin Watts and his wife Jaime; nephew Grayden and niece Kynnadie; father in law Dave McKee; mother in law Kathleen Dixon; grandmother Carmen Erickson and numerous family members living in Montana, California, Arizona and the Tri-Cities. She was preceded in death by father John Erickson Jr.; grandfather John Erickson Sr., grandfather Bill Carter and grandmother Betsy Carter.
