DIANA K. WILLIAMS Diana K. Williams, born in Oakdale and longtime Stockton resident, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2017 in San Clemente, CA from her long bout with cancer. She was brave and fierce with her struggle to survive and was surrounded continually through the battle by 4 generations of family members. Until the very end, her daughter-in-law and granddaughters administered bed-side spa treatments and her sons continued with their comic relief and every possible protein drink available. In the end, she passed listening to her favorite song "Beautiful Brown Eyes" which she sang through the years to her grandchildren. Diana felt ageless on a horse and she requested to be cremated along with her western saddle so she could ride into heaven on her saddle. Diana is survived by her loving and adoring husband of 59 years, Roy Williams. Their life was blessed with 3 sons, Scott (Mary Ellen), Eric, and Dan, along with 8 grandchildren, Kyle Williams (Jana), Andrew Williams (Corie), Carly Cunningham (Taylor), Quinn Williams, Jordan Williams, Michael "Pik" Williams, Kyra Williams, and Kaelyn Williams, along with 5 great grandchildren, Kylie, Colton, Hudson, Brody and Logan. Diana also leaves behind a sister Donna Cross and her son Jeffrey. Diana loved unconditionally and created a home that was safe, nurturing and welcoming for all who visited. In addition to her amazing quick wit and true listening abilities, Diana or "Grandy" was famous for her thin decadent pancakes, famous enchilada pie, beyond tasty tacos, and perfectly moist roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. Any stray animal that was fortunate enough to find her home was immediately rescued and loved as she had a passion for animals big and small. She was a role model for all that knew her and she continues to inspire family and friends with her passing. Diana is deeply missed by all and will never be forgotten. We thank our Lord for the gift of her love and we are at peace knowing she is now free of pain and watching over us.
