DONNA PAULINE (NEE LEWIS) HOLEMAN Donna Pauline (nee Lewis) Holeman went to be with her Lord after a long fight with cancer and other illnesses on July 12, 2017. Her husband was the late Richard Alvin Holeman who died in 2006, the couple had been married for 56 years. She died at the home of her daughter and son in law in West Falls, PA. Born in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late Frederick john and Myrtle (Phoebe) Ann McKee Lewis. She attended high school in Grand Junction and met Richard at a State Baptist Youth Rally in Denver. While Richard trained as a Japanese interpreter at Yale University and was sent to occupied Japan, Donna attended Ottawa University in Kansas. The couple married on August 26, 1950 in Foss Chapel, CO, which is a popular wedding venue yet today. They moved to Richland, WA and both began working at the Hanford Atomic Facility operated by General Electric who remained Richard's longtime employer. While moving every few years, Donna earned an Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, VA. Richard and Donna moved from Tuscon, AZ to Clarks Summit in 2004 to be with their daughter during Richard's declining years. Donna enjoyed working with various women's and philanthropic clubs over the years. Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit and its' members held a very tender place in her heart. Surviving is her daughter Gayle Bodin and husband John P. of Falls; a grandson, John Trent Bodin, Scott Twp., and his wife Danielle, Pillsbury, ME; two brothers, Keith Holeman and his wife Sharon, and Ron Holeman and his wife Leslie, both of Richland, WA; a sister in law, Lois Holeman, San Ramon, CA; a granddaughter Evangelyn Reese; two great grandsons, Justin Michael and Brandon John Bodin, Falls; a niece Sandy Kipp, Grand Junction; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Roger Alvin Holeman. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd., So. Abington Twp., PA 18411 at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr # 7, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 or Heritage Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E.
