DORIS CECILIA (LIZOTTE) MYERS Doris Cecilia (Lizotte) Myers was born August 10, 1928 in Yakima, WA., to Henry and Bertha Lizotte. Doris passed peacefully at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick, on March 1st, 2017 at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dwight, and their five children, Ron (Vicky), Robert, Connie (Dave) Legard, and Marilin Myers, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brothers Larry and Duane. Doris was preceded in death by eldest son John, parents Henry and Bertha Lizotte, brothers, Ray, Roger, Richard and Robert, sisters, Annette Richardson and Irene Kelly. Having been born the oldest of 9 children, Doris understood the value and love of family. She was an exceptional baker of bread, cakes, cinnamon rolls and cookies. The aroma of fresh baked bread was how she welcomed her kids home from school. She loved watching and feeding birds. Spending time with her grandkids and great- grandkids gave her much joy. She always wanted to know how her grandkids were doing, and loved to hear stories of their adventures and antics. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and she would not let you leave the table without taking just another helping of her mashed potatoes, and even if you were already full you would take another helping, just because you knew it would make her happy, and because you knew this was often how she showed her love to her family. Doris loved to be around people. Another angel has joined Heaven's choir, and we will someday hear - the sweet singing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Doris's life.
