ELEANOR ELIZABETH LANDONI Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Eleanor Elizabeth Loiacono Landoni, 91, went to be with the Lord July 13, 2017. She passed peacefully with her daughter Cheryl Knotts and niece Mary Loiacono by her side at Brookdale Senior Living in Walla Walla, Washington. Eleanor was born October 30, 1925 in Walla Walla to Dominic and Concetta Morrone Loi-acono. She attended school in Walla Walla where she met and married her sweetheart, Peter Francis Landoni on September 21, 1947. They moved to Pasco, Washington in 1955 where they raised their three children Don, Cheryl, and Pete and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. She was a retired Pasco School District Bus Driver, a career she started after a short time working for Dr. Tom Campbell when living in Walla Walla. She enjoyed being a member of the Pasco Lady Lions Club, Telephone Pioneers, and the Walla Walla Italian Heritage Association. She was also a proud and faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pasco. Eleanor lived in a yellow house on the corner of 15th and Pearl in Pasco for over 50 years and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and great aunt. She loved feeding her family and was best known for her well stocked and always open candy cupboard, her sandwiches, and her spaghetti and meatballs. She enjoyed cooking and celebrating holidays both in Walla Walla and Pasco with her family, often including many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was a frequent customer of the Pasco Farmers Market, Oakdale Egg Farm, and the Schwan Man and her family often benefited from her generosity. You never left a visit without being well fed and sent home with a freshly purchased treat and a few dollars for your trip home, no matter how near or far you lived. She was an avid reader, loved trips to Wild Horse Casino, coffee from the Grand Central Coffee Station, and Avon. She was a much loved and trusted neighbor and friend. Eleanor is survived by her son Don (Karen) of Pasco, daughter Cheryl (Keith) Knotts of Walla Walla, and son Pete (Suzanne) of Beaverton, Oregon; sisters-in-law Roseann Loiacono and Betty Loiacono-Groetsma of Walla Walla; her grandchildren Steven (Lisa) Landoni, Amy (Jason) Buchanan, and Rachael (Kent) Sanders of Pasco, Annie (Justin) Goff of Walla Walla, Zachary (Alice) Knotts of Spokane, David and Katie Landoni of Beaverton, OR. She was loved by her 14 great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She will be very missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Francis Landoni, her parents, four sisters Rosario Ferraro, Mary Greco, Edith Santoro, Josephine Loiacono, and two brothers Joe and Robert Loiacono. Her family is very appreciative of the love and care she received from the staff at Brookdale in Walla Walla over the last 5 years.
