ERNEST SLIGHTOM Mueller's Chapel of the Falls Funeral Home Ernest W. Slightom passed away February 8, 2017 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA. "Ernie" was born on February 20, 1943 in Hartford, CT. He spent most of his life in the Tri-Cities. He retired from Hanford when he was 65 after 25+ years. Ernie's heart was huge, he loved everyone. He was very well known here. His special friends being George and Liz Carter and Steve and Pat Albin. A big thanks to all his friends and the nurses and doctors on the 8th floor at Kadlec. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his father and mother, Wallace and Pearl ( Lange) Slightom. Survived by his brother Paul, sisters Kay and Carolyn Lee and families. Also by his other family, "Mom" Norma Conrad, Mark Conrad, Shelly Suazo. You'll be in our hearts forever. Ernie donated his two eyes so people could see again. He could be found at Barnes and Noble nearly every Saturday "studying and rehearsing". Viewing will be Friday February 24th 6-8pm and service will be Saturday February 25th at 11 am both at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls 314 W. 1st Ave. Kennewick, WA 99336. Please sign memorial book when you arrive. Riverview Heights Cemetery 1200 S. Olympia St. Kennewick, WA. He will be beside his grandmother Lange. Gone home to the Lord, whom he loved so.
