ETHEL LEE DAVIS BARKER Ethel Lee Davis Barker born January 6, 1930. On June 10, 2016 Ethel was called home to be with the Lord. Ethel wasa the second oldest of nine children. She married the love of her life, James Davis. Together they were blessed with with ten beautiful children; Eliza & (Charlie) Leech, Willie Davis, Johnny & (Chong), Davis, Lee & (Fatima) Davis, Chapperon Davis, Lanthia Davis Pleasant, Michael & (Joan) Davis, Patrick Davis Wesson, Treena & (Bobby) Davis McClendon Jackson, Mark & Terri Davis and two special step children- Sheila & Scott Barker. Our Mother attending Morning Star Baptist Church and was a member of the Church Choir. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Ethel was one of the first founding members of the Community Action Committee (CAC) which is still operating. She retired from Washington Public Power System (WPPS) with her long-time friend Buella Green. They loved going shopping, yardsaling and coooking together. Growing up our Mother taught us to help others first. Ethel's home was always open for a good home cooked meal. She will be greatly missed by all which include 80 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Ethel has left big shoes to fill. As she takes flight home I know she is saying: "Let not our heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. "In my Father's house are many dwelling places; If it were not so, I would have told you; For I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1 MOM YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL--LOVE YOU Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.
