GARY DAVID CHAPMAN Feb. 27, 1945 - June 23, 2016 Gary was born in Colville, Washington in 1945 and grew up in Ione, Washington. He graduated Salutatorian from Selkirk High School in 1963. He attended Washington State University where he met his wife, and then started a family. He worked as a logger, laborer, tile setter, and reserve fireman until age 28 when he attended Ironworker Apprenticeship School and began his career as an Ironworker. He worked at Lampson International for 37 years eventually becoming a shop foreman. He also traveled the world setting up cranes for the company. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was the most hardworking, strong willed, vibrant, loving, and intelligent man his family would ever know. He passed peacefully with his wife by his side and his family near. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Chapman; daughters, Danele Chapman-Jean, Gari-Annette Lindblom, and Stephanie Sather; grandchildren, Ian Chapman-Lindblom, Chelsea Chapman-Jean, Kyle Lindblom, Sophie Sather, and Conner Sather; siblings, Rhonda Smith, Rose Waller, Margaret Mader, Jim MacArthur, Lawrence Chapman, and Robert Chapman. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Chapman; stepfather, William MacArthur; mother, Violet MacArthur; daughter, Kerensa-Leigh Chapman; son, David Scott Chapman; brothers, Pete Chapman, Roger Chapman, Ritchie Chapman, and Bill MacArthur. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th and Union Street, Kennewick. Following the graveside, a Celebration of Gary's Life will be held downstairs in the hospitality room at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
