In the summer of 1958 Gary met Betty Jean Paige. They were married two years later on June 17th 1960. Gary worked in Spokane for a couple years then moved to the Palouse area where he worked for several years on dry land wheat farms. Betty and Gary both took jobs in Othello Washington working for then Chef Reddy Foods and the family moved to Othello. He retired from there in 2002. Gary and Betty moved to Pasco following Betty's retirement in 2006. They bought a pick-up and 5th-wheel trailer and spent several winters in Quartz Site Arizona.
