HELEN OTHELLE RICHTER Mueller's Chapel of the Falls Funeral Home Helen "Othelle" Richter of Kennewick, Washington passed away Sunday February 26, 2017 at Odd Fellows in Walla Walla, Washington under Hospice care. She was born in Payette, Idaho May 1, 1929 to William H. Wiseman and Ruth (Roberts) Wiseman. She grew up living in Idaho and Oregon, her father working for Idaho Power. Her sister Shawna was born in 1934 in Parma, Idaho. Othelle attended schools in Boise until moving to Walla Walla during WWII, and then finally to Sunnyside, Washington where she graduated High School in 1947. She attended North Idaho College in Coeur d' Alene, where she met "C" Herbert Easton. They were married May 3, 1948. They moved to Caldwell, Idaho where they had their first son Charles. Then moved to Missoula for one year then to the Tri-Cities in 1952 where Richard was born. They divorced in 1953. She later met Rudolph Richter and they were married January 6, 1957. In 1963 they had a son Ronald. They continued together happily until Rudy passed away in 1983. She went to work for Gallant, Stringham, and Brown after Sherwood Roberts closed. Othelle continued to live in Kennewick, where she has lived the past 64 years. Othelle started playing the violin at the age of 8 and played in adult orchestras form the age of 13 onward. She played in the Mid-Columbia Symphony Orchestra for 35 years until her wrist gave out in 1988. Othelle continued her love for violin giving lessons for the next 20 years. Music was the love of her life in which she passed on to all three sons who follow their passion of music in different ways. She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws Chuck and Jackie (G est) Easton of Everett, WA, Richard and Judi (Hanson) Easton of Touchet, WA and Ronald and Maria (Reynolds) Richter of Snohomish, WA. 4 Grandsons, Aaron Easton of Midland, TX, Andrew Easton of Touchet, WA, Aaric Easton of East Wenatchee, WA and David Richter of Snohomish WA. Her sister Shawna Larsen of Post Falls Idaho, 6 nephews Dana and Randy Larsen of Spokane, WA, Scott Larsen of New Westminster, British Columbia Canada, Shawn and Mark Larsen of Post Falls, ID and Dustin Larson of York, SC. She was preceded in death by sister Lolita Alice, her mother Ruth and her father William. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls 314 W. 1st Ave., Kennewick, WA. At 11:00 AM Friday, March 10, 2017. Graveside service will follow at Riverview Heights Cemetery 1200 S. Olympia St. Kennewick, WA. Memorial contributions to be made to Mid-Columbia Symphony Orchestra and/or Walla Wall Hospice. We would like to make a special thank you to Kennewick Visiting Angels, Walla Walla Brookdale, and Walla Walla Hospice for the care and love they provided over the last 6 months.
