JANET IRENE HARPE Born May 1, 1941 in Fort Collins, Colorado, died September 8, at home in Kennewick. Jan was a long time Tri Cities resident moving to Pasco in 1951 and then to her permanent home in Kennewick in 1967. She graduated from Pasco High in 1959 and married her husband of 56 years Lester Harpe on April 8, 1960. Janet is survived by her husband Les, sons Brent and Brian, Grandchildren Lance (Maggie), Eric (Jennifer), three Great Grandchildren, Reese, Lottie and Rusty, brother Ron Rodgers, and her twin sister Janice. Jan was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Audrey Rodgers. Jan lived a faith filled life and was a member of Church of Christ "Temple Lot". She loved children and taught Sunday School, bible studies, and arts and crafts for many years. Jan was an excellent cook and loved to bake goodies for family, friends, holidays, and special occasions. Meals by the pool were always fun and delicious. She was an excellent pianist and played for many weddings, funerals and church services. She enjoyed fishing and spending time on the water with family. Playing cards and board games was always great entertainment. Jan was an excellent Pinochle player and played with friends and family. S ervices will be held at Columbia Memorial Chapel and Gardens, 224 S 24th Ave, Pasco, at 1 pm, September, 16.
