Obituary
The Guest Book is expired.

JEFFREY DUKE BLAKLEY Jeffrey Duke Blakley, known as J.D. passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017, at his home in Richland, Washington. Jeff was born on February 24, 1962, in Redwood City, California, to Duke and Sandie Blakley, as one of two children. Jeff's brother, Greg, preceded him in death in 1974 at the age of 9, and his father, Duke, passed in 2008. Jeff was a long-time resident of Richland, Washington, attended Hanford High School, and enjoyed a career as a printer in his parents' print shop. He had many friends and an on-line following of 650 Facebook friends in a Group called "Rock and Roll Lives Here," which he began in 2013. He was known there as "J.D. the D.J." One of his FB friends put it very well by saying, "Losing the greatest Facebook personality and the best running commentary I knew has left me so sad." Over his lifetime, he drove trucks, learned to fly small aircraft, played the guitar and loved music and singing karaoke. He was also interested in flying model airplanes and had a great amount of knowledge and expertise in many other areas. Many of his friends said he was always smiling and was a happy guy with a great sense of humor. Jeff will be greatly missed by his mother, Sandie Blakley, his beloved uncle, Scott Miser, and Scott's children (his cousins) Scottie, Candy, and Holly. He will also be missed by his precious cat, Kiko, who has found a new home with a new family. Jeff did not wish to have a funeral, so a reception to honor him will be held at his mother's home on Friday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend. The family invites you to sign Jeff's online tribute wall at www.muellersfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, please donate in J.D.'s and Kiko's name to the Benton Franklin Humane Society, www.bfhs.com. May you rest in peace, J.D. and soar in heaven with the angels.
