JOSEPH SCHWARZ Einan's at Sunset Joseph Schwarz left us on Wednesday, April 21, 2016. The fearless soldier he was, Joe fought the battle of his life with cancer. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Joe knew him to be a generous, kind and honorable man who had strong opinions about everything and accepted his fate with grace and dignity. Joe was a marine and served his country in WWII. He also fought a battle with polio and after being told he would never walk again adamantly proved the doctors wrong. That is just the kind of man he was every day of his life. He was a fighter and by far the bravest man many of us knew. Joe had a huge soft spot in his heart for cats. His most recent companion, Ian, provided Joe with unconditional love and friendship. Anyone wishing to provide a donation in his honor Joe would ask that you do so with the Benton Franklin Humane Society. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at 1:00pm in the Veterans section at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Anyone wishing to share a kind word about how Joe touched their life is welcome to attend.
