JUNE ROSE JAMES Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home June Rose James, 79, of Kennewick, Washington passed away peacefully on April 19, 2016. June was born on June 17, 1936 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Charles William and Irene Rose (Cartier) Davis. She later moved to the United States where she met her husband, Norvell 'Pete' James Jr, and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. June was a resident of Kennewick since 1972 and an active member of the First United Methodist Church, as well as a volunteer at the Kennewick Senior Center. Knitting was her passion and she brightened many lives by sharing her extraordinary talent with those around her. Be it prayer shawls for cancer and hospice patients, helmet beanies for US troops or beautiful blankets for newborn babies, June was always thinking of others. June was a loving mother, wife and sister who was preceded in death by her husband Norvell 'Pete' James Jr and her brothers Charles L. Davis and Robert W. Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Ann (James) Kratz and son-in-law Jeffrey Kratz of Seattle; grandson, Andrew Kratz of Elsah, Illinois; brother-in-law, Robert "Bert" James of Fairview Heights, Illinois; sister-in-law Kay (Mike) Vargas of O'Fallon, Illinois and sister-in-law Linda (Marvin) Overby of Fairview Heights, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Friday, April 29th at Riverview Heights Cemetery, 10th & Olympia, Kennewick, Washington.
