KATHIE A SIMMONS (HILBERT/ MCCULLOUGH) Kathie A Simmons (Hilbert/McCullough) passed away January 12, 2017 in her hometown of Hokes Bluff Alabama. She was the daughter to Katherine and Roger Sutton (stepfather) and Thomas Simmons, a sister to Becky Strange, Johnny Simmons, Bill Sutton, an aunt and a great aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. She was a mother to Tony D McCullough II, a grandmother to Hailey McCullough, Dallas Stephens, and Kailyn McCullough. Kathie was a wonderful outgoing free spirit that never really landed in one spot. She had numerous friends in the Tri-Cities. After living in the Tri-Cities area 20yrs she then returned to her hometown to help take care of her stepfather and family. Throughout the last 20years she would go back and forth between the two areas visiting and helping family and friends. In the past few years she was planning on making the Tri-Cities her final home so she could be closer to her son, grandkids, other family and friends. Through all the years of dealing with several health issues she remained a positive, loving, caring, compassionate, giving and complicated woman. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say "she is one of a kind" and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by Thomas Simmons, Katherine and Roger Sutton. Kathie is survived by her son Tony D McCullough II and wife Lyndsay McCullough, her grandchildren Hailey McCullough, Dallas Stephens, Kailyn McCullough, Sister Becky Strange and her family, Brother Johnny and wife Nancy Simmons and their family, Brother Bill Sutton and his family. We love and miss you! Until we see you again.
