KENTON LEE SANDERS Kenton Lee Sanders, 60, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 26, 2016 from complications of Crohn's Disease. He was born in Prosser, WA to Francis Kenton and Lillian (Bateman) Sanders who preceded him in death. Kent grew up in the Tri-Cities attending school here and graduating from Kennewick High School in 1974. He went to school to receive his teaching degree and eventually received his Masters. He had a great love for teaching as he taught math and science at Desert Hills Middle School. He also coached girls' softball, volleyball and soccer. Kent was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Besides fighting a life long battle with Crohn's Disease, Kent also had heart trouble which resulted in a heart transplant in 2014. He remained strong through his transplant recovery and bouts of Crohn's Disease. His medical team said he was nothing less than a warrior the way he handled his life and health problems. Kent lived in Kennewick with his companion, a little Shih Tzu dog, named Kie. He loved horses, all things jalapeno, his 2008 Ford Mustang, his children and grandchildren. He loved playing fantasy football with the family and he always kept candy in his pockets for the grandkids. He was a kind and good man who was a loving father and grandfather. He made friends easily and everyone knew his family was his pride and joy. Kent is survived by his children, Ryan (Stephanie) Sanders, Kent (Rachael) Sanders, Taryn (Victoria) Sanders all of Pasco, WA, Michelle Sanders of Kennewick, WA, Kevin (Natalie) Sanders of Spokane, WA, 16 grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15th, 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4305 Crescent Road, Pasco, WA with viewing beginning at 10:00 am. Grave dedication to follow the service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick
