LARRY RICHARD TELLEZ September 19, 1951 November 12, 2016 Larry Tellez was a loving and devoted son to his mother, Tangee, a loving uncle to his nephews, Greg, Chris, Jason, and Mathew. Larry passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, California at approximately 10:36 p.m. He was surrounded by love from his family and friends. He was a long standing member of the Richland, Federal Way and Lacey WA communities having worked at WinCo Foods for close to ten years. Larry was a hard working individual throughout his working life and was well liked and respected by his friends and co-workers. People liked Larry for his hard work ethic and his sense of humor. As a consequence, Larry will be truly missed by all who knew him and grew to love him. Larry was a sports enthusiast and outdoorsman. Fishing, camping and attending sporting events with his brother Bill and nephew Greg were a way of life for him. He also loved to play pool and was part of the pool league for many years at Two Bits & a Bite in Richland. He loved watching golf and always watched the Masters Golf Tournament, taking vacation just for that occasion. Sports and the outdoors defined who Larry was and he enjoyed "living the dream". Larry is preceded in death by his father Fidel and his brother Bill. He is survived by his mother Tangee, his brother Bruce and his wife Alexis, nephews Greg, Chris and his wife Lauren, Jason and his wife Marie, Matthew, his great nephews Caden and Chandon, and his great niece, Camila, and his sister Kathy and brother in-law Dave Leonard. The family is inviting all of his friends and co-workers to reflect and celebrate his life with them on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church for a mass service. Christ the King is located at 1111 Stevens Dr. Richland, WA 99354. A small reception will follow in the "gathering place" at the church. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Family and Child Services, Salvation Army, the Tri-City Union Gospel Mission or the Tri-Cities Food Bank here in Richland WA.
