LEOTTA CATHERN FARRELL Columbia Memorial Chapel Leotta Cathern Farrell passed away February 15,2017 at 96 years. She was born in the hills of West Virginia, the youngest of 7 children of David Wright Boothe and Ethel Mae Fleshman who have preceded her in death along with all of her siblings except her sister Ruth Wilson (103). Leotta pursued her life through will and determination to obtain her objectives in life. She found work in World War II at an ammunitions factory in Ohio, moved to Spokane, then as a waitress in Madras, Oregon where she met "Art". "Lee" married John Arthur Farrell (Art) May 12, 1947 in Vancouver, Washington. They had 5 children. Sandra Lee Coffman, Darrell Ward ("Butch") Farrell (deceased), Elizabeth Kay Farrell (deceased), Martha Rae Farwell, and John Arthur Farrell Jr. The children were brought up on a Farrell family homestead in Madras, Oregon until the farm failed and in 1955 all relocated to Pasco. Leotta found taking care of other children and cleaning the homes in where they resided, rewarding and continued that work until after her children left the house. She then found work at Lamb Weston for many years before retirement. She found relaxing a bit difficult to do but did enjoy at times, walking, crocheting and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Family services to remember her will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bailies Memorial Youth Ranch. 131 Memorial Lane Mesa, Wa. 99343
