MARILYN CAROL MCADAMS Marilyn Carol McAdams our best friend, gracious wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is at peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior - Jesus. Marilyn was born April 11, 1937 in St. Cloud, Minnesota; then after a full, fruitful, and blessed life - went to heaven May 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Edith Mitchell and sister Robbie Mitchell. Marilyn is survived by her husband (of 61 years) Zane McAdams, daughters Becky (Robert) Snow, Kathy (Tim) Bender, and sister Elaine (Dale) Sleeman. She was also survived by two granddaughters Rochelle Foster (great-granddaughter Eden) and Allison (Erik) Voice (great-grandson Joseph). Marilyn attended West Valley High school, Spokane Washington, where she graduated in 1955 as class Valedictorian. Here she developed lifelong friendships, where some will remember she was one of four Marilyns in her class. During the graduation commencement address, Marilyn gave a speech titled "Spiritual Growth". Some of her favorite things were strolling through gardens and the nurseries marveling at the variety of beauty. The many colors and sweet scent of flowers brought joy to her heart. Sundays spent at church worshipping were also very dear to her. Marilyn journeyed through Alzheimer's disease with determination and grace. As she struggled to communicate, Marilyn never lost her sense of humor and the ability to express her love to those around her. Family and friends were important to Marilyn. She frequently related numerous funny stories and jokes of past times with those she loved. She continued to care deeply, even as years and distance increased. Marilyn will be missed greatly and will continue to live on in our hearts, until we meet again. Fond remembrances and condolences may be shared at www.lifetributescenter.com in lieu of a service.
