MARTIN L. JENSEN Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Martin L. Jensen passed away at home on May 31, 2016 after a long illness. He was born June 8, 1932 in Sandpoint, Idaho to the parents of Andrew L. Jensen and Nellie P. (Christiansen) Jensen. He enlisted in the Army March 10, 1953 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal March 17, 1955 after an injury he received while serving. Martin met the love of his life Erna Steinbrenner while he was serving in Germany and they were married September 25, 1955 in Sandpoint, Idaho. In his early years he worked as a logger in Idaho and moved his family to Kennewick in 1961. He retired from the Operating Engineers in 1983 to work on his farm and start a custom haying business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Erna of 60 years and their two children Connie (Jensen) Kile (Bruce) Kennewick, WA; son Donald Jensen (Roxie) Kennewick, WA; five grandchildren Kevin DeHart (Caprice); Heather (Kile) Hays (Brian); Megan (Kile) Cronk (Daniel); Brooke Jensen; Melissa (Jensen) Berg (Brandon); and 5 great-grandchildren: Kyler DeHart, Talan Campbell, Tristan, Hayden and Branson Hays; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mable Hernvall, brothers Walter Jensen and Jimmy Jensen. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, June 13, 2016 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Kennewick, WA.
