MARVIN DEL MONTY Marvin Del Monty was born September 13, 1948 in Everett, Washington. Marv peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer the morning of November 14, 2016 at his home in Kennewick surrounded by his family. Marv grew up in Arlington, Washington and graduated from Arlington High School. He graduated from Washington State University in 1970 Go Cougs! Soon after college, Marv, Vernie, and their son Marvin moved back to Arlington and Marv went to work with his dad, Morrie. Marv eventually bought the business from Morrie and it became Marv's Minuteman Service. Marv's Minuteman Service was part of the community for over 30 years in Arlington and Smokey Point. Marv was a successful businessman and felt it was his honor to give back to the community in which he lived. In 1996 he sold the business and enjoyed his semi-retirement in Arlington until he and Vernie moved to Kennewick in 2008. He was proud of his success in business but more proud of his family. Marv is survived by his wife, and love of his life for 48 years, Vernie Monty. He is also survived by three sons, Marv and his fianc‚e Holly; Matt, his wife Katie, and granddaughters Lily and Emmy; and Dan. Marv is also survived by his brother Ralph. Marv was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Bernice Molstad. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the Benton-Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington.
