MARY KATHLEEN SLEATER Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Mary Kathleen "Kit" McMannis Sleater, age 74, was born to Harry and Frances Hails McMannis on September 19, 1942 in Dillon, Montana. Kit joined two sisters Marilyn, Pat and half-brother Ray Samson. In 1945 when Kit was two, the family moved to Kennewick, Washington and later the family moved to Richland, Washington. She attended schools in Richland and Kennewick. She married Larry Lee Sleater in Lewiston, May 2nd, 1960, her parents as the witnesses and they were married for 56 years. Their family increased by the birth of a daughter Sandi in 1961, then by the twins Dawna and Dina in 1964. Then Kari rounded out their family in 1968. Kit was a member of the Kennewick Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. They lived in Virginia while Larry was in the Navy. They were the owners of Sleater's Restaurant and Lounge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Sandi Rae Lollar and Dawna Lee Pearsall, half-brother Ray Samson, and granddaughter Rebecca Pearsall. She is survived by husband Larry, her daughters Dina Nash and Kari Hardy, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Also by her sisters Marilyn Ward of St. George, Utah, Pat DesChane of Pasco, many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law Jerry, Ed and Chuck Sleater, special sister-in-law Dodie Perry, and sons-in-law Jerry Pearsall, Roy Hardy and Bill Hitt.
