MONTY LEIGH PARKER March 24, 1948 October 26, 2016 Monty was the 4th of 5 children born to Eugene F. and Christine Parker. He was born and raised in Richland, Washington, the youngest of 3 to share their childhood and move on to become adults. Monty was born deaf, and I can remember Mama saying "If he ever is blessed with hearing and learns to talk, I'll never say shut-up, be quiet". Around the age of 5 1/2 he gained some hearing and before long was just a regular, noisy kid. Monty was an optimistic, adventurous individual who loved his family and friends. He was kind, caring, hard-working; and was a talented artist and outdoorsman who enjoyed cooking, country music and sports. Monty was pre-deceased by his parents, one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his 4 children and 10 grandchildren: James Parker, Joshua Parker (Sidney, Warren, Megan, Ryan, Nora), Tami Leigh Keas (Baylee, Madison) and David Parker (Rowan, Ezerie, Wyatt); 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and his sister, Susie (Parker) Jokela of California. Monty dealt with medical problems related to his diabetes since 2006. He was being treated for a foot problem when kidney/liver failure set in and he passed away in the early hours of October 26, 2016. Rest in peace little brother, we will miss you.
