NORMA MAE BENSON Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home Norma Mae Benson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother died January 29, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was 93. Norma was born in Kingsburg, California and graduated from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster. She married Bill Benson on December 31, 1941. After they were married Bill promised her either a piano or a honeymoon. Norma chose the piano. Bill and Norma farmed in Lancaster until 1975 when they joined their daughter and son-in-law in Pasco and started Benson and Ransom Farms. They farmed together for over 40 years. Norma was an accomplished musician and spent many summers taking piano seminars at Marylhurst College in Portland with her friend Cheryl. She is greatly missed by daughter and son-in-law Gayle and Bob Ransom of Pasco, daughter Cathy Paul of Issaquah, grandchildren John Ransom of Bend, Oregon, Shelley Ransom of Bend, Oregon, Toby and Johanna Paul of Fort Myers, Florida, and Seth and Ofelia Paul, Issaquah and great grandchildren Josie Armour, Zoe Armour, Valentina Paul, and Alejandra Paul. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia and husband Bill. Norma's family is exceedingly grateful for the great care provided by Fleur de' Lis Adult Family Home, especially the kindness of Paige, Debra, and Viola. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Richland on Saturday March 11 at 11am.
