ROBERT JAMES WILLARD On July 2, 2016, Robert James Willard of Prosser, WA., age 47, went into cardiac arrest while swimming at Wild Duck Lake doing something he truly loved, celebrating the 4th of July holiday with family. He later passed away with his loved one's by his side on July 4th 2016. Born January 5, 1969 in Renton, WA. to Richard Willard of Cle Elum, WA. and Judy Denney of Benton City, WA. Rob was raised, in Washington and Wyoming by his mother, step father, Larry Denney, a man he deeply loved and adored, along with three brothers; Jack, Scott and Chris. Larry was Rob's mentor, he introduced him to the trade; iron work. He Instilled in him integrity and the value of hard work. When Rob was 21 he reunited with his biological father, Rich and was ecstatic to meet and develop a relationship with his new found family, sisters, Tenille and Tessa and brother Richie. Robert would later have the opportunity to work side by side with his dad Rich and Uncle Jimmy as an ironworker. Rob worked over 25 years through Ironworkers Local Union 86 and for Huber Brothers as a journeyman ironworker. Rob enjoyed his old westerns such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, etc.and Family Feud. Rob was also a huge football fan and a diehard Seahawk fanatic "Go Hawks"!!! His love of football is one thing he enjoyed sharing with family, whether it was playing Madden with his son Devin or picking football games with his brother Scott. He was very family oriented and brought family back together when they were astray. Rob is survived by the love of his life, wife, Stacee, son, Devin Willard, step son; Mario Rodriquez, step daughters Katie Rodriquez and Katrina Hanson, and grand-daughter Sena Rodriquez along with extended family. He is preceded in death with his Step-father and mentor Larry Denney, Benton city, WA , his brother Jack Willard, Montana and Grandparents Pat and Jolene Brady, Prosser, WA, Robert and Isabelle Spitzer, Kirkland, WA, Ralph and Lois Willard, Kent, WA, and his beloved dog, Lil and several aunts and uncles. Rob was a great man with a huge heart and will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held August 27th, 1-7pm at Prosser Eagles Lodge.
