ROBERT BOB WESLEY MILAN Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home Robert "Bob" Wesley Milan passed away peacefully in his home, shared with his wife, Beth Williams Milan, on Monday, January 9, 2017, Kennewick, WA. Bob was born in Washington, PA on September 19, 1957 to the parents Richard B. Milan (deceased) and Joyce Hughes (deceased). Bob graduated from Trinity High School, Washington, PA in 1975. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving four years of active duty. Bob graduated with a Masters in Rehabilitation Science & Technology in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh. Having been paralyzed in an auto accident, Bob accepted that God had a reason, even though Bob didn't fully understand it, he was non-complaining and trusted in his Father in Heaven. He put to use his paralysis to fight for the Americans with disabilities and was a mentor to many. He also served as the president of the Tri-County Patriots for Independent Living (TRIPIL) for 18 years. Bob is presided in death by his son, Richard David "R.D" Milan. He is survived by his wife, Beth; two sisters Marti Milan and her husband Kevin Young and Tammy Bloemker and her husband Jeff; niece, Joyce Bloemker and nephew John Bloemker; sister-in-law, Mitzi B. Kukahiko and brother-in-law, Bryan Williams. A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the South Union Street building, Kennewick, WA at 2pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Bob will be interned at Salisbury National Cemetery, North Carolina. Contributions may be made to the DAV online at DAV.org in lieu of flowers, etc. Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
