SARA F. FORAKER Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Sara F. Foraker passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Kennewick WA. She was 77 years old. She was born in Lake Mills, Iowa and moved to Kennewick with her parents Albert and Arlette Grady as a young girl. She lived in Kenne-wick for 65 years and graduated Kenne-wick High School in 1958. She married Gerald W. (Bud) Foraker in 1959 and was widowed in 1988. Sara is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Cindy (Blaine) Schwartz, Teresa (Russ) Thorburn and Shannon (Eric) Jones. Sara has four grandchildren Eric (Parisa) Schwartz, Nicole (Brad) Dunn, Chase Doan, and Signe Jones. She had four great grandchildren, Charley Faris, Aubrie Peachey, Sophie Schwartz and Raegan Dunn. Sara was expecting a great grandson this fall. She is also survived by her four brothers and their families, Michael, Patrick, Kevin and Tim Grady. Sara and Bud owned the Glass Nook in Richland for many years. They were members of the Peak Putters jeep club and spent many weekends off-road riding. They built a cabin near Cle Elum, WA. Sara was the secretary for First Lutheran Church many years ago. She retired from Tri-Cities Laboratory. She was a longtime member of the Sons of Norway Sol-Land Lodge and Friends for Life Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital. Donations in her honor may be made to cancer research at www.friendsguild.org. There will be a viewing Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA from 5-8 pm. Services will be held at First Lutheran Church, 418 N. Yelm, Kennewick, Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 9:00 am with graveside service at 11:00 at Riverview Heights Cemetery located at 1200 S. Olympia St. Kennewick.
